Abilene Christian lands pledge from Bartlett (TN) wing Christian Alston

2024 Bartlett (TN) wing Christian Alston announced his commitment to Abilene Christian on Wednesday evening, ending his busy recruitment as one of the most popular prospects amongst mid-major programs in the South.

“I chose Abilene Christian mainly because not only are they overly invested in my basketball career, but they also are just as invested in making me a better person off the floor,” Alston told HoopSeen.com following his pledge. “They have nice facilities and all the things I need to be able to reach my goals.”

Abilene Christian was one of the most active schools in the 6-foot-6 wing’s recruitment. They dispatched two coaches to see him during the first June scholastic recruiting period and continued throughout the summer. In the end, Brette Tanner and his staff’s persistence paid off. Abilene Christian was able to get an early visit and make a nice, positive impression.

“It really felt like home on my visit. The people were genuinely happy for me to be there and made me feel like family.”

What is Abilene Christian getting in Alston?

The Wildcats will have a long, versatile wing man that can impact the game on both ends of the floor. Alston’s 3&D prowess is one of the main things that attracted college programs, and he should be able to make an early impact and get on the floor.

HoopSeen.com is very high on Alston — so much so that we included him in our top 150 national rankings for the 2024 class as he comes in at No. 138.

Alston also considered Alabama State, Middle Tennessee State, and Murray State.
