Georgia's Best Available 2024s: Updated

It’s visit season thus it’s commitment season. Several of Georgia’s top prospects have made their college pledges already, but there are plenty of high-level players left on the board.

As commitments come in, we’ll continue to update this list of the five best available in the state.

Most recently, Micah Smith, Kahmare Holmes and William Jobe have come off the board.

The best available prospect in Georgia’s 2024 class is Loganville (GA) Grayson guard Gicarri Harris.

Harris is as consistent as they come. His impact on winning can be felt across the board. While he isn’t elite in one specific area, he’s as well-rounded a prospect as there is in the class. He doesn’t make mistakes often.

Because of Harris’ steady nature on the floor, he’s being heavily recruited by high major programs. After already taking visits to Georgia Tech and Miami, Harris has wrapped his official visits, so a decision could be looming.

KJ Greene

The best available point guard, KJ Greene is coming off of a fantastic junior season with Atlanta (GA) Pace Academy that resulted in a state championship.

One of the reasons why the Knights were so good was because of their defensive efforts, and Greene was the first line of defense on the ball. He has plus positional size and uses it to keep pressure on opposing guards well. Greene is productive on offense and gets points on the board whether he’s scoring or distributing.

His upcoming visits are planned for Florida State and South Carolina.

One of the most intriguing prospects in Georgia, Marietta (GA) Wheeler forward Josh Hill is the best available forward in the state’s 2024 class.

Hill’s ever-developing offensive game is becoming a highlight with consistency in his jumper. With his size, mobility and length, Hill may be the best defensive prospect on the board.

Hill has taken several visits already.

Moses Hipps

Hipps is in a good spot to have his best high school season since coming to Georgia. With Powder Springs (GA) McEachern, he’ll be in the brightest spotlight in the state.

He’s one of the best shooters in Georgia and maybe the best available in the state. Hipps has plenty of attention from several D1s. Specifically, Drexel has emerged as one of the schools that has been after him hardest. With Hipps having roots in that northeast region, the pairing would be fitting if it comes to fruition.

Hipps has recently visited Drexel.

Braedan Lue

Lue is the most physically imposing on this list. He’s been that way since he was an underclassman.

A long, athletic forward, Lue’s presence can be overwhelming when he’s operating at his best. His jumper has evolved into a bonafide weapon as well. His ability to take over a game physically paired with his ability to make skilled plays has several schools vying for his commitment.

Lue has a visit to Georgia State coming up. That could be one to watch for.
