Commitment of the week: Nate Hinton to Houston

For some schools, all you need is that one player to make a difference and build a class that could put you into the NCAA tournament.

For Houston, the American Conference school landed a key player over the weekend when North Carolina native Nate Hinton committed to the school.

With Hinton’s commitment to the Cougars over the weekend, the American Conference school now has a top 150 nationally-ranked player in their 2018 class. He will be one of the highest rated prospects coming into the conference next season.

Hinton took off as a national recruit after his dazzling summer with Team Loaded North Carolina.

We’ve seen him play for quite some time, dating back to his days with the Upward Stars program. Hinton will be a physical force on the wing and can play multiple positions.

Hinton also visited Cincinnati and strongly considered Florida State.
