Recruiting Spotlight: 17U MBA Hoops

The MBA Hoops squad is a big group to contend with on the grassroots circuit. The Mississippi based squad impressed with their depth and strength over the course of two wins here at the HoopSeen 64. Here's a snapshot of the recruitment of their players. 

Kenneth Nwuba – The 6’9” Oak Hill big man is a powerhouse in the paint. He has offers and interest from Arizona State, Michigan, Ole Miss and a slew of others.

Michael Barber – Out of Mississippi, Barber is long, athletic, and a force in the post standing at 6’8”. He’s received interest from both Texas Tech and Georgia Tech.

Tyron Brewer – A small forward with incredible bounce, Brewer, a 6’5” athlete, has expressed interest from Florida State and Wichita State.

Daquan Smith – Another 6’2” gem out of Mississippi, Smith has offers and interest from Middle Tennessee State, Memphis, Murray State, Southern Miss, etc.

Damian Dear – A top 2018 guard from Mississippi, Dear says he’s got interest from Georgetown, Tulane, and a few others.

Garrison Wade – St. Andrews Episcopal High School SF Garrison Wade has gotten looks from Columbia, Vanderbilt, and Rice so far.

Jude Akabueze – Specializing in boards and blocks, the 6’8” big man out of West Virginia can put the ball in the basket as well. He’s got interest from West Virginia, UTEP, and UAB among others.


Bre Singleton

Bre’ana Singleton is a recent Mass Communications graduate of the University of West Georgia. She played point guard there for three years after transferring from the University of Montevallo. She won 2 AAU National Championships as a member of the Georgia Ice. While at UWG, she was a member of several radio shows, completed an internship with Radio One, and contributed as a news reporter for WLBB 1330 in Carrollton.
